What is a Truck Mounted Attenuator?
The Scorpion II Truck Mounted Attenuator is the world’s first MASH Tested, Passed, and Eligible Truck Mounted Attenuator. It is a specifically fitted vehicle designed to absorb the impact of collisions in the event of an accident. It is strategically positioned on site to act as a mobile crash barrier to protect workers and other road users.
There are two types of TMA’s: TL-2 and TL-3.
- TL-2 TMA can be used on roads with a permanent speed limit of <80km/hr
- TL-3 TMA must be used on a freeway or a road with a permanent speed limit of 90km/hr or more

TMA’s are required on worksites that meet specific requirements. We operate the largest fleet in Western Australia, with 11 TL-2 and TL-3 TMA vehicles available across our depots in Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury and Albany, allowing us to get out to site quickly, respond to emergencies and provide the resources required for large-scale projects.
